We stayed at Folding Mountain B&B for 2 nights during the Canada Day long weekend and had a wonderful time. From the moment we turned onto the driveway, it was a slice of perfectly picturesque Northern BC landscapes and hospitality. The log cabin was beautifully quaint, with the feel of a hunting lodge and the comfort of a sophisticated city hotel. The room and bathroom were very clean and the bed was unbelievably comfortable and cozy. And once we managed to tear ourselves out of bed, Rebecca prepared a gourmet breakfast for us both mornings. During the day we went to the Liard River Hot Springs & Provincial Park which is about an hours drive from the B&B, but it took us nearly 3 hours with all the unplanned stops to take photos of wildlife along the highway, and the breathtaking views at Muncho Lake, Stone Mountain, Summit Lake, Tetsa River and Smith River Falls. As a city person, it was awesome to see all the wildlife including deer, bison, black bears, moose, mountain sheep and goats. And to top off a perfect day, we came back and had a romantic walk around their 400 acres, chased elk in their fields, and played a few games of pool in the lodge before bed. It was an amazing weekend at an even more amazing place.
